Please Write to a Prisoner
Prison is a horrible experience, especially for those who are separated from their loved ones because of a false accusation.
Here is an alphabetical list of a few who are in prison. Perhaps you might send at least one of them a card and a note to let them know they are not forgotten. In cases where the information is available, I’ve included links to descriptions of their cases.

People sometimes ask me whether they can send gifts to prisoners. In most cases you cannot, but it depends on the rules of the institution. Most prisoners have to buy everything from the prison store or canteen. You can usually send them a little money by postal money order. Some prisons also permit sending personal checks — contact the prison or prisoner for the relevant rules. Books are usually OK if they come from the publisher or distributor. I have sent prisoners books from amazon.com.
Anyway, here is a short list. Let me know about others who should be added, and I will include them.
Not everyone on this list denies their guilt. There are, for example,some who have completed their sentences, pose no threat to society (in my opinion), but who are being held under civil commitment. Some have been true friends to the innocent in prison. Yet others have been recommended to me by friends but I have not had the time to investigate personally.
Since becoming involved in this struggle, I have learned that our criminal-justice system is cruel and unfair to the guilty as well as the innocent.
